First week: getting the job and looking around London

Seriously, it is very hard to adapt to their left side driving.

So as many of you might already know, I got the job! Didn't even had to wait until Monday, I got the call on Sunday and moved in Tuesday morning. Meanwhile had a nice day in London center on Monday with 2 Lithuanians (see the pics).

And then I started my trial week on Tuesday. I was working with another nanny so that I could learn how does it all work. So there are two boys (7 and 11 yrs), who are mostly at school and a girl (1yr 2mths) who is my main responsibility. I have to take her to parks, kids' play groups, etc. and then I have to pick up the boys from school. The girl is a happy and friendly kid, she got used to me very quickly. And I find the other two interesting and fun to be with. They are smart kids.

All the family is very nice, I always have dinners with them which are enjoyable as everybody's talking and laughing and there are lots of delicious food (they don't eat lots of meat:]).

And I like the neighbourhood, it's mainly Jamaican, but the high street where all the shops are is full of different ppl as all London. I was shopping there and I found it nice that ppl start to talk to me easily:)

Two more things I like about London: firstly, it is warm in here. Much warmer than in Lithuania. People still don't wear any coats nor jackets. Secondly, here are no blocks of flats. Everybody lives in houses. Mostly people live in neighbourhoods as you saw in my second post's picture. So mainly in the neighbourhood there are some streets like this and one main street with all the shops, so it feels like living in a small town. In the street you can get so many things - you can find shops and services which would be usual for an Indian, Muslim, Polish, African, etc. And there are lots of huge truly beautiful parks with playgrounds for kids.

The other day when I was walking around I found an Indian temple. Beautiful, huge, amazing, Indian temple! Got inside and oh... felt so nice... coming back there for sure :) taking pics is prohibited, but here you can take a look at it.
