A weekend out!

I had a very active weekend. Some friends were visiting London so I spent all the time walking and looking around. I saw tower bridge which looks nothing like in the classic-London-logo pictures :))) we also went to tate modern and admired the modern art and also made fun of it :) I actually enjoyed seeing an original of Monet water lillies and some installations...

Then there was chinatown. Fascinating. London has sooo many interesting places to see in and outside the centre... Both days were finished in Camden. Great place.

Brighton II: the return

One of the houses in the center

Hello dears,

I know I haven't written for a while but, sincerely, there was nothing to write about. The sweet 3 weeks of xmas holidays at home and then working again... And now I went to Brighton for a weekend. Yes it was my second time there. It is a very enjoyable place indeed. Highly recommended if you happen to be around.

This time I got to know the city a bit, which was really nice. It is a hip place - colorful houses, funky people, easy communication...

And then again - sea, cliffs, sheep,... let the pictures speak now :)

Street. Really alive on Saturday.

Holidays are coming...

Snow as it is seen through my door.

Hello everybody,

I haven't been updating my blog a lot, but nothing special really happened... E.G.:

My phone got broken so I got a new one.

I watched Harry Potter. Enjoyed.

After the cinema I dropped by the optician's and accidently found these amazing glasses so bought them!!! They had some kind of happy day offer so I got the eye check and lenses for free :))

It got veeeery cold (-1) for some days and we had some snow. Everything stopped. Everybody panicked. Now its +9 again. Like in Barcelona last December.

And yes I have been in Berlin for a weekend. Moscow-related reasons.

The little girl said my name today for the first time. Amazing feeling, really.... She's starting to talk now :)

Ah the 7-year-old came up with an amazing idea. It is not my job, it is sth he said on the way back from school. He said that after xmas we should have one day when everybody would eat only vegetarian, like me, and no meat for anybody! He wanted to ask his parents about that. What a sensible child! I will let you know about it :)

Hey and I will be coming home for xmas 17th of Dec - 6th of Jan. Let me know if u're in Vilnius and want to meet up! Because I really do!

Just a snapshot to give you an idea...

Just to keep you updated! :)

Camden town. Every house has sth :)

Hi

So my life goes on as usual, nothing important, new or interesting happening, but I still want to keep updating you with what I see and feel.

During my trip to Bath I ripped off the crown of my watch (again) and it seems I will have to wait until I come back to LT to fix that, as they wanted to charge me 40pound for that (got it for 4pound back home). Unexpectedly I saw another watch on sale, not so expensive and very nice and comfy and with the crown protected so I wont rip it off during my next journey :) of course I bought it, what you think! Couldn't keep myself from bragging :P :DD really, a watch is such a necessary and comfy thing! will still keep and fix the other one for more official occasions :)

What else... ah, been in Camden town again. It's like a little Amsterdam in London. With a proper channel, loads of alternative ppl and alternative shops and all so nice with reggae around.

Oh, and I've just bought tickets to the south coast this weekend and got a host there already!!! Celtic sea, here I come! :)

So that's it this time, write you soon about the seaside trip!

Just a typical Central South London... All these cars are London taxis - they all are like that. Some have ads on them but the ads are really stylish and goes with the car design :)

My left hand updated :)

That's where I hopefully will be this weekend!

Bits of my everyday

Roundwood park (the closest to home)

Hi everybody :)

so this time I will try share some of my everyday life :)

I come to their house in the morning and have breakfast. The little girl is usually very happy to see me and likes to sit in my lap when I'm eating. And to have some of my brakfast:)) She is so sweet :) Then I do some tidying and prepare her things and her for going out (believe me, that takes a lot of time..). Usually we go to some playgroups or storytelling or singing... there are lots of stuff like that for free, in a walking distance!!! It is very enjoyable to go out with her, ppl are always smiling at me and her, helping out, telling how cute she is....and in the playgroups everybody's so nice to each other:)

Then she sleeps and I eat and do sth at home and prepare her lunch. Feeding is not easy, she is not eating, I have to invent all the tricks. After lunch it's time to pick up the boys from the school. Sometimes we take a walk in a park before [there is one near the school]. When boys are home we play some games with them or they do sth like patining or TV/PC, but not much. They rarely have homework.

When parents get home they start cooking diner I get more relaxed,... sometimes I go home and come back just for dinner, but usually I stay and have some fun with the boys, as the girl is usually with parents.... The dinners are the nicest - food is delicious, everybody eats and talks and its just the happy end of a day.

The work is kinda easy and relaxed, just being around and doing things... I do enjoy it a lot! Of course, sometimes the kids are misbehaving and it can be hard to cope with that but I think I am doing it alright. And the boys are understanding and do the right thing finally and apologize for misbehaving.

And then I have three days off a week. I always go the Indian temple, I usually go the center meet somebody and see sth new in London. Also do some shopping for food and things :) its kinda strange to walk around without a buggie :))) I have also started to study Arabic (on my own) which is very exciting....

Autumn...

There are some birds in the park. That's the list with illustrations :))

On the way to the park

This means the house is ready for trick or treat!

It's just one of many weird things which are very usual for the British.

A weekend in Bath

The Royal Crescent
Hello everybody,

Firstly I want to apologize for not writing for so long - sth was wrong with my camera and I didn't want to make posts without pics, as they are usually very important. Now that the camera is well again I will try to make more posts.

This one is gonna be about my weekend in Bath. I went there to visit Karina, my classmate, who is studying at Bath Uni. It is a very cozy, though small place. The weather was nice and we were walking around all day. We visited cemetery - its was soo gorgeous, and no ppl in there!

In the evening we went to a Nepalese restaurant which was probably the most amazing restaurant I have ever been.... So calm, so cozy, tranquil, with soothing music and the most amazing delicious light food. No wonder you have to book in advance.... On the second day we went to visit the uni which is a nice big place with fields and a pond with ducks in it :))

Of course, I also met Karina's housemates and watched some movies, did some chat. I was happy to see that she's enjoying her time in there.

I attach some pics from there...
